Working Groups

Our working groups break down solos by bringing scholars from different disciplines into conversation on central issues that shape and frame the academic study of American Jews. Bringing scholars into the same room who wouldnt otherwise be, Grant Center working groups facilitate interdisciplinary scholarly conversations, building emerging subfields, or bringing scholars of American Jewish studies into dialogue with those outside their field.

Grant Center conferences, working groups, and symposia aim to bring people into conversation who wouldn’t otherwise be. This may include bringing academics into dialogue with practitioners, facilitating interdisciplinary scholarly conversations, building emerging subfields, or bringing scholars of American Jewish studies into dialogue with those outside their field. Roundtable discussions in Jewish Historical Studies: A Journal of English-Speaking Jewry are intended to bring the strengths of this format to wider scholarly audiences.

Do you have an idea for a Working Group that the Grant Center can support? Please reach out to ebraunin@tulane.edu.
